You can't add socketed RAM to soldered pads with an adapter.

No. There are no practical adapter boards that let you swap soldered RAM for a socketed module in a laptop. The technical hurdles are massive.

Soldered RAM is part of the motherboard’s PCB design—traces, signal integrity, power delivery, and physical clearance are all optimized for a specific BGA chip. Even if you could reflow a socket onto those pads (which is nearly impossible without damaging the board), the electrical characteristics would be wrong. Modern DDR4/DDR5 run at high speeds where even a few millimeters of trace length mismatch cause instability. A kludged adapter would be a reliability nightmare.

Some specialty devices exist for debugging or rework, but nothing consumer-friendly that you’d install in a laptop and expect to work. If you want upgradable RAM, buy a laptop with socketed RAM from the start. Most thin-and-light models have abandoned that possibility.

Don’t waste time hunting for a magic adapter. There isn’t one.
