The suction numbers tell the story pretty clearly here. The Roborock Q5 Pro puts out 5,500 Pascals of suction. The Roomba i3+ sits around 2,500 Pa — less than half. In practice, that means the Roborock picks up crushed crackers and embedded pet hair in a single pass, while the Roomba often needs to go back over the same spot. I tested both on a section of low-pile carpet where my dog had been sleeping, and the Roborock’s bin had visibly more fur after one run than the Roomba’s did after two. If your floors are mostly hard surfaces the difference is less dramatic, but on any kind of carpet or rug, the suction gap is immediately noticeable.
