I mocked the kids' bike basket — now I use it to carry my sunscreen on family rides

I mocked the idea of a handlebar basket for my kid’s bike. Then I realized I could stash my sunscreen, phone, and a spare water bottle in it on family rides — and the basket won. The Retrospec Cali basket looks good, the liner keeps smaller items from falling through, and it attaches securely enough that it doesn’t flop around on bumpy paths. My kid uses it to haul rocks and interesting sticks, which is apparently the primary function.
