The Switch Lite is great for travel — maybe too great

The Switch Lite is great for travel — maybe too great. It’s smaller, lighter, and tougher than the full Switch, which makes it dangerously portable. Your kid can take it anywhere, which means it goes everywhere. The trade-off is that it’s handheld-only with no TV output and no detachable Joy-Cons, so no Mario Kart on the big screen. If you want to limit gaming time, the portability cuts both ways: easier to pack away, but also easier to sneak into a backpack.
