No, you can’t remove soldered RAM modules — they’re physically attached to the motherboard with solder, not a socket. You’d need hot air rework and serious soldering skills to remove them, and you’d likely damage the board in the process.

Even if you could, there’s no reason to. The laptop’s memory controller treats all RAM as a single pool. Leaving the soldered modules in place doesn’t hurt performance or upgradability — it just adds some base capacity. You can still upgrade the replaceable slot to whatever max the laptop supports.

The real limitation is that you’re stuck with the soldered amount forever. That’s the trade-off you accepted when you bought that laptop. Future upgradability was already compromised from day one.
