Soldered RAM is permanently attached to the motherboard. You cannot swap chips, add more, or mix capacities. The memory controller and firmware lock in the exact configuration at the factory — same capacity, same timings, same everything. Even if you had the tools to desolder and reball chips (which almost nobody does), the board almost certainly won’t boot with a mismatch.
Buy the RAM configuration you need upfront. There is no upgrade path. This isn’t socketed RAM.
