The TUF GAMING B450-PLUS still carries a PS/2 port and DVI-D

The ASUS TUF GAMING B450-PLUS is a board from the AM4 era that still carries some real vintage holdovers. The most notable: a PS/2 combo port. That’s the round purple/green connector your grandpa’s keyboard used. It’s still here because some industrial and enterprise environments haven’t moved on.

The rest of the rear I/O: two USB 3.1 Gen 2 (one Type-A, one Type-C), two USB 3.1 Gen 1, two USB 2.0, HDMI 1.4b, DVI-D, Gigabit Ethernet, and three audio jacks.

The DVI-D output is another legacy survivor. By the time B450 boards hit the market, most monitors had moved to HDMI and DisplayPort, but ASUS kept DVI around for backward compatibility with older office displays. The USB-C port is Gen 2 (10 Gbps), which was respectable for a mid-range board of this generation. Not a bad I/O selection — just one that’s honest about its era and the transition it was bridging.
