The Intel NUC 13 Arena Canyon goes all-in on Thunderbolt 4

Intel’s NUC 13 Arena Canyon is the flagship, and the port selection reflects that. Two Thunderbolt 4 ports (40 Gbps each with USB-C connector) sit alongside two HDMI 2.1 ports, making this one of the most capable multi-display mini PCs you can buy. Four 4K displays at 120 Hz? No problem.

The rest of the I/O is well thought out: two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, two USB 2.0 Type-A (keyboard and mouse), one 2.5GbE Ethernet port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and — pleasantly — an SDXC card reader.

The SD card reader is a nice touch that most mini PCs skip. It’s clearly aimed at content creators who might use the NUC 13 as a compact editing workstation. Combined with Thunderbolt 4 for fast external storage and HDMI 2.1 for high-refresh monitors, the Arena Canyon covers every practical use case. This is Intel’s swan song for the NUC line before they handed it off, and it’s a good one.
