The ASUS PN50's USB-C doubles as a DisplayPort output

The ASUS PN50 was a solid all-rounder in the mini PC space, and its port selection reflects that. The headline feature: one of the two USB-C ports supports DisplayPort Alt Mode, so a single USB-C cable can drive a monitor while acting as a hub.

Port breakdown: two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (one with DP Alt Mode), two HDMI 2.0, one DisplayPort 1.4, Gigabit Ethernet, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

That’s a lot of video outputs for a tiny PC. Between the dual HDMI, DP, and the USB-C video passthrough, you could drive four displays. The DP Alt Mode on the USB-C port is the feature worth calling out — it makes the PN50 a genuinely good candidate for a single-cable desk setup where the monitor acts as a hub.
