The Minisforum UM560 brings 2.5GbE — but its USB-C is data-only

The Minisforum UM560 has one feature you don’t usually see at its price point: a 2.5GbE Ethernet port. That’s proper wired networking for a home NAS or a local dev server.

The rest of the port selection is a mixed bag. You get three USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports (fast enough for external SSDs) and one USB-A 2.0 (probably for a keyboard). There’s a USB-C port, but it’s data-only — no video passthrough, so don’t expect to use it as a single-cable docking solution. For displays, you’re looking at HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4, which covers dual monitors without issue.

The 2.5GbE port is the real story here. Most mini PCs in this class still ship with plain Gigabit Ethernet. Minisforum threw in the faster NIC as a differentiator, and it works.
