The Dell XPS 8930 leaves room for PCIe cards and a better cooler
The XPS 8930 follows the same formula as its successor. Two PCIe x1 slots give you room for a Wi-Fi card, extra USB ports, or other expansion. The CPU cooler can be upgraded to a standard LGA 1151-compatible aftermarket unit — useful if the stock cooler is too loud or the machine is running hot.
It’s not a wide-open chassis, but Dell kept the important bits standard. If you want better thermals or a quieter system, you’ve got options.
