The 2011 MacBook Air can take more storage than Apple ever sold
Apple never officially capped the 2011 MacBook Air’s storage, but the highest configuration they sold was 256 GB. In practice, the machine accepts SATA-based blade SSDs well beyond that — 1 TB works reliably, and 2 TB is possible with the right third-party drive. If you’re maxing out an old Air, the limit is your budget, not the hardware.
