The iBook G3 Clamshell solders both CPU and GPU to the board

There’s no upgrading the iBook G3 Clamshell’s processor or graphics chip — both the PowerPC G3 and the ATI Rage Mobility are soldered directly to the logic board. This was standard practice for Apple’s portable line of the era, but it means your Clamshell stays exactly as configured at the factory. Not that you’d want to push a Rage Mobility any harder than it already gets.
