The 2012 MacBook Pro's AirPort card is still upgradeable

The 2012 MacBook Pro uses a removable AirPort/Bluetooth combo card on a proprietary connector. When you need newer Wi-Fi standards or faster Bluetooth, swap in a compatible upgraded module — no soldering, no logic board replacement. It’s one of the last Macs where wireless was truly user-serviceable.
