No, you cannot swap soldered RAM with an adapter.
Not practically, not for consumers, and definitely not from a store shelf.
The problem isn’t that someone couldn’t design an interposer — the problem is that soldered RAM (usually LPDDR) uses a completely different electrical layout than socketed SO-DIMMs. The memory controller expects the RAM to be right there on the board, with specific trace lengths and impedances. An adapter would introduce too much distance and signal degradation.
A few hardware hackers have made one-off interposers for specific boards — usually by desoldering the BGA chip, attaching a tiny PCB, and running wires to a socket. That’s not an “adapter” you can buy. It’s a lab project that requires reflow equipment and a lot of patience.
Unless you’re designing your own motherboard, treat soldered RAM as permanent. Buy the configuration you need at the start.
