Trombones, flute, and strings joined Jobim on Wave.

Jobim played piano, guitar, and harpsichord on Wave. Urbie Green and Jimmy Cleveland on trombone, Jerome Richardson on flute, Ron Carter on double bass, Dom Um Romão and Bobby Rosengarden on drums, and a string section rounded out the personnel.
