Larry Mizell produced Black Byrd, with help from his brother Fonce

Black Byrd was produced by Larry Mizell, assisted by his brother Fonce Mizell, a former Motown producer. It was the first of Donald Byrd’s Blue Note albums to feature the Mizell Brothers.
