Blonde on Blonde was saved by a move to Nashville

Bob Dylan’s Blonde on Blonde began recording in New York City in October 1965 at Columbia’s Studio A, but the sessions were largely unproductive. At producer Bob Johnston’s suggestion, Dylan, Al Kooper, and Robbie Robertson relocated to Nashville, where the bulk of the album was recorded in February and March 1966.
