The Low End Theory bridged jazz and hip-hop through minimalist production

Q-Tip kept the production on The Low End Theory minimal — bass, drum breaks, and jazz samples, bridging jazz and hip-hop without a wasted sound. The whole thing was recorded on a Neve 8068 console that John Lennon had used.
