Gentle Giant's The Power and the Glory wasn't based on Graham Greene's novel

Despite sharing a title with Greene’s novel, Derek Shulman says the connection is coincidence — he was aware of the book, but it wasn’t the inspiration. The themes of power and corruption just happen to run through both, which might say more about the universality of the subject than any deliberate homage.
