Paranoid's backing tracks were laid down in just three days

Black Sabbath recorded the backing tracks for Paranoid in three days at a small 4-track studio in London, and the whole album was finished in a matter of weeks — just seven months after their debut. It’s remarkable how much heaviness came out of such a rushed session.
