'Time of the Season' hit the charts over a year after the Zombies broke up

CBS staff producer Al Kooper pushed for ‘Time of the Season’ to be released as a US single on Date Records. It became a surprise hit in early 1969 — over a year after the Zombies had already disbanded in December 1967.
