Pang started as a folk album called Calico before PC Music producers reshaped it

After Chairlift disbanded, Caroline Polachek started working with PC Music producers Danny L Harle and A. G. Cook in 2017. She’d planned a folk-tinged album called Calico, but their collaboration produced something that “overshadowed Calico” entirely — and became Pang. Good thing she followed the detour.
