Muddy Waters plugged in the Delta blues and created Chicago electric blues

Muddy Waters took the acoustic Delta blues he grew up with and electrified it — adding electric guitar, harmonica, and a full band to create the template for Chicago electric blues. Every blues-rock band that followed owes something to that decision.
