Krell's sound evolved from lo-fi to electronic over four albums

Krell gradually shed his lo-fi production across Total Loss (2012) and What Is This Heart? (2014), revealing cleaner vocals and sharper songwriting. By The Anteroom (2018) he’d moved fully into electronic and ambient territory.
