Bryter Layter sold almost nothing on release — like every Nick Drake album

Like all of Nick Drake’s albums, Bryter Layter sold poorly upon release and didn’t chart at all. The commercial failure deepened Drake’s disillusionment with the music industry — tragic, given how revered it is now.
