The Canadian side is better for a day trip from Hamilton — direct QEW access and the best panoramic views

From Hamilton, the Canadian side is the easier day trip: the QEW drops you right at the falls and the panoramic views of Horseshoe Falls are unbeatable. The American side gets you closer to the falls themselves and Cave of the Winds, but the route is less direct and the view isn’t as dramatic.
