Dawn Powerwash handles week-old chili without a pre-rinse
I left a bowl of leftover chili in the sink over the weekend. By Monday it was a geological formation. I’d normally let it soak for an hour, scrub, repeat.
Dawn Powerwash cut through it in one spray-and-wait cycle. Sprayed the crusted edges, let it sit maybe 45 seconds, and the gunk slid off under the tap. No pre-rinse, no elbow grease, no soaking.
The trick seems to be the spray mechanism — it’s foam that clings vertically instead of running off. So it actually stays on the mess long enough to break it down. Works on dried egg, baked-on cheese, coffee rings.
One caveat: burned-on crud on a non-stick pan still needs scrubbing. But for anything that’s just been sitting too long? Legit one-step.
