Clean your salt cell with vinegar.

Yeah, a diluted vinegar soak is the move. White vinegar and water, 50/50, let it soak for 15-30 minutes. Rinse it off and you’re done.

If the buildup is really bad, you can step up to muriatic acid (1 part acid to 4 parts water), but that stuff is nasty — gloves, goggles, good ventilation. Most routine cleanings won’t need it.

Whatever you use, don’t scrape the plates with anything metal. You’ll damage the coating. A plastic brush or gentle rinse is fine.

I’d clean it every 2-3 months during pool season, or when the flow light starts blinking. A clean cell means less strain on the system and fewer headaches.
