The Eufy Clean X8 is a hard-floor robot — thick carpets are a non-starter

High-pile and plush rugs cause the X8 to lose suction and sometimes avoid them entirely. Its sweet spot is hard floors and low-pile rugs; anything thicker and you’re better off with a dedicated upright.
