Windex's ammonia will damage your car's tint film
Ammonia is the enemy of tint — and Windex is mostly ammonia.
The original blue Windex will clean your windows beautifully and slowly degrade your car’s tint film, clear coat, and interior plastics. The ammonia-free version (Glass & Surface Cleaner) is safe, but at that point you’re already buying a different product. Why not just use an automotive glass cleaner from the start? The real answer: Windex works only if you pick the exact right bottle. One wrong grab and you’re causing damage every time you wipe.
