The Niagara Scow (the new gondola next to the falls) is a small operation—only a few cars, and they’re not loading nonstop. Summer weekends draw everyone who wants a unique view of the falls. Without a reservation, you’re stuck in a line that snakes through the park, baking in the sun while the booked crowd sails past you 20 feet overhead.

Book online at least a week ahead if you can. Same-day slots are gone by 10 a.m. on a Saturday. If you show up without a ticket, you’ll be making a new plan for your afternoon.
