Yes. Even without the boat spray, the humidity near the falls is relentless. You don’t need a fancy dry bag—a quart-size ziplock and a few silica gel packets (the ones that come with shoes) will keep your phone and point-and-shoot safe.

The real enemy is condensation. Warm humid air hits your cold phone when you take it out, and moisture gets into the charging port or lens. A sealed bag prevents that. Just toss the phone inside, squeeze out excess air, and only open it when you’re in a drier spot.

For a camera you’re actively using, keep it in the bag when not shooting, and wipe any visible moisture off the body before you stash it. If you’re paranoid, tape a silica gel packet to the inside of the bag.

Your biggest risk is pulling out your phone every five minutes for photos. Treat it like a delicate tool, not a toy, and you’ll be fine.
